Status:

LD 2126 requires Maine to develop standards regulating CO2 from gasification facilities, coal-to-liquid refineries, and major new power plants. It also places a three-year moratorium on any new coal gasification construction, putting an end to Twin River Energy Centers’ plans to build a coal gasification plant in Wiscasset.

Status:

LD 2257 establishes a statewide building and energy efficiency code and ensures enforcement in towns with over 2,000 residents. This law will provide developers, architects and builders with a clear, uniform standard.
